I have had the pleasure of conducting three-hour master classes at Harvard, Brown, NYU, Northwestern, the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, Austria, and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.  My master classes highlight my path from university into the professional world, as well as my artistic process for directing opera or theatre - with a Q&A for students at the end. 

At Brown, NYU, the Actors' Centre London, and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, I have offered week-long intensives to students in undergraduate and graduate theater, graduate playwrighting, actors' studios, and graduate business programs. Topics have included physical theatre, collaboration, the Viewpoints technique, Shakespeare, language as action, Greek tragedy, mask work and devising new work.

As my schedule has allowed, I have greatly enjoyed longer residencies with an opportunity to engage more deeply as an Artist in Residence. At Harvard, Brown and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, I taught one to three academic classes to undergraduate and/or graduate students, offered a series of master classes, and directed/desvised a full-scale production with students within the academic term.
