ABOUT DANIEL

Daniel Kramer has steadily established himself as one of the leading visionary artists of his generation.  His iconoclastic work marries craft, contemporary political, cultural and metaphysical questions, with audacious sometimes arresting Queer-pop aesthetics.  His work strives to ignite inter-community dialogue.  His work is noted with honors and a generous array of international press in Asia, Europe, Australia and America.  As a leading opera and theatre director, he is also well known for his collaborations with leading visual and conceptual artists. His vocabulary celebrates song, dance, circus, ballet, mime, opera, cabaret, theatre, poetry, visual arts, plastiques, bruitism, cruelty and absurdity and classical and contemporary philosophy above all else.
Daniel has also developed a career in leadership, education and private consulting for fundraising, community arts engagement, recruitment and restructuring arts organizations.  Daniel was Artistic Director of the English National Opera, Creative Associate at the Royal Shakespeare Company, and Associate at the Young Vic and Gate Theatre, London.  He holds masterclasses regularly at universities such as Harvard, Brown, NYU, Guildhall School of Music & Drama, and The Lir at Trinity, Dublin.
